Kip Ioane, a respected figure in collegiate basketball and character development, brings a wealth of experience and passion to his role as the Camp Director of the DPI. With a 26-year career in the sport, including 14 years as the Head Men's Basketball Coach at Willamette University, Kip has demonstrated exceptional skill in both coaching and player development.

Educational and Athletic Journey:

As a student-athlete, he was a two-year captain and four-time letter winner. His senior year was highlighted by being a finalist for the prestigious Josten's Trophy, recognizing the NCAA Division III men's basketball player of the year. Kip holds a bachelor's degree and a Master of Arts in Teaching from Willamette University, reflecting his deep commitment to education and leadership.

Coaching and Leadership:

During his 14 years as the Head Men's Basketball Coach at Willamette University, he not only led the Bearcats to numerous successes, including a Northwest Conference Tournament appearance, but also coached three different Josten's Trophy finalists, an award given annually to the nation's top D3 basketball players. Under his leadership, five players completed their careers with over 1,000 points each, showcasing his effectiveness in developing high-scoring athletes.

Pioneering Character Development:

Kip is the founder of #TeamsOfMenLLC and the nationally recognized Teams Of Men Character Development program. His innovative approach focuses on educating players about sexual assault prevention, victim advocacy, and fostering healthy relationships. This program has been a cornerstone of his coaching philosophy, emphasizing the importance of character and responsibility both on and off the court.
